We support businesses in development and operationalisation of ESG strategy, as well as reporting.

GreenPot Consulting is 100% black female owned, founded by Ms Lerato Magalo. Lerato is an experienced built environment professional, with over 17 years' experience in the sector. 

Lerato is an MBA Graduant, and holds a Civil Engineering Degree, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and a Post Graduate Diploma in General Management. She has served at various levels; strategic and operational, leading dynamic teams in certification of non-standardized (innovative) construction products and technologies, developing built environment national standards and managing infrastructure projects.  

She founded GreenPot Consulting in 2018, having been exposed to the urgent need to protect the environment and support the greening of the South African built environment, the need to advocate for social needs and drive ethical climate in corporate governance.  She is also a Certified Director, serving as a non-executive director in various entities' boards, in pursuit to making a difference and driving ethical and good corporate governance. 

She is an accredited ESG International Sustainable Business (ISB®) Level I Advisor, a certified GRI sustainability expert, a green building certification Accredited Professional, with extensive training ISO management systems. 

Lerato served in various roles, including;

• Executive Manager: Technical Services for Agrément South Africa, overseeing certification of non-standardized construction products and systems and establishing an eco-labelling scheme on behalf of government
• Programme Manager: Engineering & Built Environment Standards at the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS), overseeing development of built environment national standards
• Quality Assessor for the National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC)
• Engineering Consultant for the City of Tshwane, managing water and sanitation infrastructure. projects, and more.
